Crimes against the Elderly

Sometimes we amaze ourselves with the creations Lisa and I come up with! We have found a way to create an 8 1/2 oz hand-made gator with the University of Florida colors. The gators themselves are a blend of orange and blue and the outer layer of the gator is green. We are getting a lot of sales on this item from the Gator fans here in Fla. We just made up a new order of the gator soaps to send to a customer in PA. Gator fans are everywhere, aren't they?

I am getting packed and ready to leave the house, as it closes on April 30th. I am a little angry about this situation, because it is my opinion that my mother, who has some dementia, is being taken advantage of by members of her own church, and by her own son. These people are buying the house at $50,000.00 less than it was originally listed, and my brother encouraged her to take this offer because he wants the money from the second mortgage he has on the house back. It leaves my mom with no money whatever, and all the hard work I have done in the last two years in trying to make her safe in her last years, is for naught. She will not be able to pay off the debts my dad left when he died, and will no extra money for basic necessities such as medicine, unless she stops paying those debts. She has given her lawyer (a member of her church) power of attorney, and it is the daughter of the lawyer's brother who is making such a good deal, leaving my mother with nothing. Her real estate agent is another member of her church who is supposed to be looking out for her interests but is friends with the lawyer. Another member of her church kept gouging her when the air-conditioning unit kept going out. I finally took the ball out of her hands and got another air-conditioning company which fixed it right away. (Not a member of the church)

My mother shouldn't have to live by other people's terms. She has paid her dues. Shouldn't there be a law against people who take advantage of the elderly or disabled?

Lisa and I have a business that will do even better because we do quality work. We have to do it on our own time, but we get our products to people as soon as they order, although this may change to shipping taking a couple of days, depending on the closest post office.

We hope you follow our journey along with us.

Herkimer Diamonds Rock!!

I'll bet everyone is wondering why my first post has me planning on going to Alaska, and my latest posts have me planning the same thing! The truth of the matter is that I have been trying to get back to Alaska for the last 8 years. I originally came down from Alaska to help my sister get rid of an abusive husband. That little episode took a year and a half. She was supposed to help me get back to Alaska by doing the driving (I am disabled, and cannot drive long distances, so it takes me forever to get anywhere. The spirit is strong, but the body is weak!) Instead, she met another man and couldn't leave him, so I started out to Alaska in 2002 by myself. I got heat stroke twice, but managed to make it up to the canadian border before my dad called and told me he had cancer, and asked me to come home. I did, we got through the cancer and then he fell and broke his hip, and had a stroke. My mother, who was 76 at the time, could not lift my 300 lb dad, so I stayed to help take care of him because he was completely bedridden and couldn't help himself.
He died in 2006. Before he died, he asked me to make sure my mother would be ok.
I asked my brother to take care of mom because she was getting dementia, and really needed someone to watch out for her. He agreed, and mom went to Texas to live with him while I stayed and sold the house. That situation did not work out, so he took her stuff to Atlanta where we have lots of relatives, and she got an apartment. I brought the things that she had left in Palatka to her.
The house is now sold, and is due to close on April 30th. My cousin and I have a target leave day of June 1st, because we want to do the table at Porky's Landing in Georgetown, Fl on the 26th.
We sell several hand-made Herkimer Diamond items.
The "genie's" bottle is filled with herkimer diamonds, has a sterling silver cap, and comes with a free 20" SS Chain
The heart necklace is hand-wrapped with twisted SS wire and comes with a 20" heart chain.
And then there is a hand-crafted herkimer diamond ring. The herkimer is set in a SS setting and wrapped in a cane style

Herkimer Diamond is the "stone of attunement". While it is not actually diamond, it is a quartz that often resembles the sparkling clarity of diamonds. It can be programed to attune one to an environment, a situation, a quality, or most anything. It assists with balance on the mental, emotional and physical levels. It can be used effectively to clear and open any chakra. It relieves tension and thereby promotes peace of mind. Psychically, it's useful for auric cleansing and dream recall. Physically it can be used to heal addictions and remove toxins. Herkimer Diamond is associated with the crown charka

I like the Herkimer Diamond because it is a stone for my sign, and really helps when I do things physically I shouldn't be able to do.

The trip to Alaska is healing journey for both Lisa and I. Our obligations to others will finally be over, and we can work on healing ourselves.

American Eagle Hand-Made, Hand-Painted Goats Milk Soap

These American Eagle soaps have become very popular, especially with families who have members overseas in Iraq. We have a customer who ordered 20 bars, so that she could send them to her sons and his friends to remind them that they are being remembered and prayed for. I think that is such an awesome thought, as these eagles are hand-painted, and the eagle carries our American flag and the arrows of truth. It takes a lot of work to make these, and will be difficult to do on the road, so we have made up a batch of them.
You may see us out there tho, with our soap pot and paints in some travel park , because we have gotten an order.
The colors of these soaps are in the Harley Davidson colors of orange and black (the eagle is hand-painted black with a white head, a yellow beak, and white tail feathers.) We have worked really hard to achieve an authentic look for our eagle.

We are getting very excited. We can't wait to get out on the road and meet some great people. We will be posting pics of the places we pass through so that our friends can join us in spirit

Hand-made, hand-crafted Bulldog face soap w/ Ga colors

My cousin and I are trying to get ready for our move to Alaska, and yet we are still creating new soap designs!! We do plan on making soap on the road, but it may take longer than it does now.
The bar we are posting about is hand-poured with clear glicerin melt and pour base, a red coloring and a small hand-painted bulldog face. The bulldog face is painted in the Ga Bulldogs team colors, as we have a lot of Bulldog fans down in here in Fla.
We also do this same bar in a goats milk base with black coloring(the black turns dark grey in goats milk)

We are going to be setting up at a pig roast at Porky's Landing in Georgetown on the Memorial day Weekend (Sunday). Randy, the owner, does a pig roast every year , the food is free, and he has a wonderful band for entertainment. So we will be setting up a table there, and displaying all our handmade soap, wirewrapped jewelry, and of course, crystals and rocks.
