Sway Bars are ON!!

We have installed the sway bars onto the little Scottie. The technician told us that we cannot use the sway bars on gravel, or in rainy or slippery surfaces. Then he tells us not to back up as it will break the sway bars. The directions say one thing, and the tech says another. So now we are confused. And it doesn't take that much to confuse us. I guess we will have to learn from experience. Anywho, we have the sway bars, so everyone can stop worrying! And we want our share of the pool!
We also got a tuneup, oil change, and had the breaks adjusted. Tomorrow we will get the vacumn hose replaced, and then we are off to visit my mom in Atlanta Ga for a day.

Sounds like you don't need the sway bars as they are more trouble than without. But what do I know! Anyhow have fun!

Gosh, I miss you guys already. Hope you guys are enjoying the open road. I know at this point, I got Jenna through High School and have Lindsey until July, so I'm thinking by the end of July, you just may get a visitor. That is if I'm not in Chatahotchee by then, LOL. Be safe & I love you both BUNCHES!!!, Peace and Love, Pam

with a single axle trailer...if you have not pulled a lot of trailers you will be well off with them.

Those single axle trailers can get to waggin thier tail like a dawg and if you oversteer you can get in one heck of a bind without sway bars.

A friend of mine had the trailer get to bouncing and swaying and ..next he knew it came around and whopped the side of the pickup bed. He now uses sway bars or dual axles... you will do fine.

Make sure you keep close watch on tire pressure in both tow vehicle and trailer. read the sidewall and keep them where they should be. Like it never hurts to check every morning. Tire gauges are cheap...buy one if you dont have one already.

thrilled silly for you that you are 'livin the dream'.. you go girls.
